  • OK — been using this thing for about five months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I could never figure out what an e/w return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — type in your stake, the odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, honestly that’s where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it lives at treble bet and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that genuinely made a difference is the nerdier tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is handy too when I’m splitting a race.

Not all sunshine though. Its layout looks very functional, let’s say — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works though the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. And no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.

  • Right — been on this thing for maybe a few months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d say something since someone asked me last week. Am in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could figure out what an e/w return would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows the return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, yankees, which is where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it lives at how to work out a single bet and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

What actually made a difference was the geekier extras. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator that shows what margin’s baked in, and a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. Its layout is pretty plain — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s fine though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

  • So — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am based in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, for context.

How I found it was actually a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an each way payout would be when the place terms changed. Basically I’d eyeball it and get a shock. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — you put in stake and odds and it shows returns straight away, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — trebles returns, a lucky 15, yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know got it wrong. If you want a look, it lives at no vig calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that actually shifted things for me were the geekier bits. They’ve got an implied probability thing which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent when I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. The interface is a bit basic — no flash, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s fine although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — slight shame just flagging it.

Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If you honestly does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

Anyway. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
